Georgi Varbanov

These include two first prizes at the International Competition for Percussion Instruments Pendim in 1999 and in 2005, the prize of the Kulturkreis Gasteig in Munich in 2003, as well as the first prize, including two special awards, at the International Percussion Competition Luxemburg 2005, together with the Via Nova Percussion Group.

He is also excellent orchestral musician who played with orchestras like: Philharmonie of the Nations, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg.

Since 2009 Georgi Varbanov is premier percussionist solo in Orchestre National d'Île de France in Paris.
